This Halloween we tried a few new pumpkin carving hacks.
Here is what worked, and what didn’t.
- Power-Saw. Definitely worth it to cut the top or bottom off!
- Blender for the guts. We didn’t think it was worth the hype! The guts got wrapped around the blender blades and were annoying to clean. We are a fan of the good ole fashion pumpkin carving kit tools!
- Cutting the bottom vs. the top: We are a fan of both! Although it does make it a little easier to light a candle when you cut out the bottom– the pumpkin was tricky to get perfectly on the cut out bottom. The top is easy to light if you use a long neck fire starter.
- Cookie cutters! This worked like a charm– although I wouldn’t use your favorite cookie cutter incase it gets bent by the hammer or the thick gourd.
