Shortly after David and I started dating, I told him about my dream of making a band t-shirt quilt.
He absolutely loved the idea, and one night we had this crazy idea to cut up all our old band t-shirts!
BAD IDEA.
I wish we would have paused for one second and at least cut them all the same sized squares. lol.
They probably sat cut up in a pile for at least a year!
Luckily for us my grandma is a quilting wizard. She watched videos, and even took a class to figure out how to create a t-shirt quilt. She measured all our little cut outs and tried to puzzle it all together.
In the end we just had to patch it together to make it fit.
It was such a fun, creative and somewhat of a nightmare project– but it turned out better than either of us could have imagined.
Plus, any excuse to hang out with my grandma is a win in my book!
